Eva
FROM THE FOSTER
With a calm, patient adopter, Eva’s personality will be revealed. She is sweet, loves affection, and likes to be by our sides. She is house trained, walks well on a leash, and is friendly to all dogs she has encountered. She might like to live in a house with another dog, as it seems to help bolster her confidence. Rough or rowdy play does not suit her, but a more mature friend would work. She needs help losing some weight, but enjoys the walks we are taking. She went on her first small hike and did great– loved the woods and was friendly with all the other dogs she encountered. She is alert when outside, but sticks close to us.
When inside, she is polite, dainty, and a little silly. She loves to carry her squeaky toy around and she will trot from room to room wagging her tail. She is not destructive at all, and, as she trusts you and gets used to the home, she will not require a crate. She sleeps through the night on her dog bed and waits until we wake up to get up. She does not bark and, despite her initial shyness with people, once she learns to trust you, she is a happy girl. Every day she has spent with us, she has become more secure, confident and happy. She will make the perfect low maintenance dog for someone with a quieter house who is willing to take introductions to new people a little slowly.
ORIGINAL POST:
It was 2:00 on a Saturday when we got a call from one of our vets. Seems that someone had come in as they were closing with their 5 year old lab mix named Eva and they wanted the vet to euthanize her because they were moving to an apartment that weekend that didnât take dogsâ¦.NOT KIDDING.
We got her vetting updated and aside from the fact that she is overweight, she seems to be healthy and we were lucky to find a wonderful foster home for her. If you would like to adopt this sweet girl, please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com to fill out an application.
