Dart is an incredibly sweet dog with a lot of love to give. He is a people dog for sure; he wants love from everyone and will wag his tail anytime someone is near, hoping for some attention. He is a great dog to have in the house, being house-trained and not showing a propensity for getting into trouble or jumping on people. He is a quiet guy–we haven’t heard him bark yet! He knows how to be gentle taking a treat from your hands, but he is still learning commands such as “sit.” He is learning to heel on walks. He likes to chase after squirrels and other small furry critters but with the right leash and someone who is in command, he does fine on walks. Dart is built like a tank, but despite his strength, he is gentle and incredibly sweet and eager to please. He is great with kids and good with other dogs, but he loves people a lot more than other animals and he doesn’t necessarily want to share people’s attention, so a home where he is the only dog would be the perfect fit for him.
D’artagnan or Dart is an 81 pound lab mix that got picked up for the second time by a shelter south of town. The second time he was picked up the owners left him. Turns out he likes to chase the chickens that run free in his yardâ¦.hellooooo???? Heâs about two years old and other than chickens, he loves everything (and may like them too).
