Cisco
FROM THE FOSTER:
Thought you might like an update on Cisco and his personality/quirks:
Cisco is very sweet but just a little misunderstood. He wears his heart on his sleeve and will let you know when heâs feeling uncomfortable or nervous. Ciscoâs way of communicating can seem a little frightening if you donât know him, but he really means no harm. As heâs settled in, heâs become much more friendly and playful. Heâs gotten along with every dog heâs met so far and he would be a great addition to a home with or without another dog. Even though heâs a senior, heâs got the spunk and energy of a 4 or 5 year old lab. Cisco is wonderful in the house and on the leash. His favorite things are fetch and belly rubs.
ORIGINAL POST:
Cisco is a 10-12 year old senior lab mix that had been at the shelter for over 2 months when we got him. That environment is hard for a young dog to deal with, but the slick and often wet concrete floors and stress of constantly barking dogs is even worse for the old ones. Add to that being kenneled with other dogs that eat out of your same bowl and often are not very friendly and itâs hardly bearable.
Cisco was lucky enough to find a foster for a little while and he is so happy to be there. We would like to find a home for Cisco and would waive the adoption fee and the application fee and continue to provide any vetting he will need as long as heâs around. So many people think they are gone too much for a dog or cannot afford one and we hope maybe they would consider giving Cisco a home.
