Hope
FROM THE FOSTER
Hope has been far too sweet to be without a forever family. The single most loving and gentle heart has brought us nothing but joy. Despite being bred and abandoned, Hope is only looking to be loved on and kept company by anyone who’s willing to give her unconditional love. She has been accident free and relaxed since she quickly settled into our home, but wants nothing more than to follow a daily routine in a forever home.
ORIGINAL POST:
Hope came to us from a shelter in south GA. She had been dumped by the breeder, who arrogantly presented her registration papers, but she had no vet records? Likely she was dumped due to a congenital condition, alopecia, which is very common in silver labs, as they donât have a dilute gene so you have to introduce one, usually by breeding with a weimaraner. Alopecia, is a condition that affects the hair follicles and results in very little or no hair growth. Designing your own dog is NEVER a good idea.
You can see from the pictures, that she is still a stunning dog and the hair issue could be a plus if youâre not a fan of sheddingâ¦She is otherwise healthy and has been in a foster, with multiple dogs and cats, and has done well. That said, while she does good with other dogs, we believe she will be most successful in a home where she is the only dog. The foster is leaving town for a few days and we are hoping to find a place for her to go, hopefully, foster to adopt situation.
